Amnat Ruenroeng is a Thai professional boxer with an impressive career record of 21-6. He has fought in multiple weight classes including Flyweight, Super-flyweight, Featherweight, and Super-featherweight. Born on December 18th, 1979, Ruenroeng made his professional boxing debut at the age of 32 in May of 2012 against Rino Ukru. He won the fight via 4th round TKO, beginning a successful professional career that would see him become a world champion.
Throughout his professional career, Ruenroeng has fought in a total of 27 fights, with 21 wins and 6 losses, including 6 KO victories. He has held one world title, the IBF Flyweight title, which he won in January 2014 against Rocky Fuentes. He defended the title successfully four times before losing it in a rematch against John Riel Casimero in May of 2016.
Despite losing his world title, Ruenroeng has continued to fight and has participated in both boxing and Muay Thai matches. He moved up in weight class and even competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he won his opening bout but lost in the round of 16 against Sofiane Oumiha, a younger fighter representing France. In his most recent fight, Ruenroeng lost against Wanchana Menayothin in November 2021 via 10 round unanimous decision.
Ruenroeng has fought some of the best boxers in the world during his career, including notable victories over Kazuto Ioka, John Riel Casimero, McWilliams Arroyo, Zou Shiming, Petchbarngborn Kokietgym, Myung Ho Lee, and Pungluang Sor Singyu. He has also suffered some tough losses, including the one against Casimero that ended his undefeated streak.
Ruenroeng's style in the ring is characterized by his resourcefulness, effective use of the jab, and counterpunching, as demonstrated in his fights against Ioka and Casimero. However, his fights have also been marred by excessive clinching and over a dozen throwdowns. While these tactics have detracted from his otherwise crafty performances, Ruenroeng and his trainer, Aljoe Jaro, have defended them as necessary strategies to win fights.
Despite the roughhouse tactics, Ruenroeng's success and longevity in the sport of boxing can be attributed to his Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. He has proven his expertise by winning a world title and fighting some of the best boxers in the world. His authoritativeness is evident in his four successful title defenses, and his trustworthiness is evidenced by his continuing to fight and proving his worth even after losing his title.
In conclusion, Amnat Ruenroeng is a talented and determined boxer who has achieved great success in his career while overcoming obstacles and setbacks. He has demonstrated his expertise, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness throughout his career and continues to be a formidable opponent in the ring.
