Rocky Juarez, a professional boxer with a career spanning over 14 years, had a record of 30-11-1 which included 21 knockout wins. With a total of 42 fights, 30 resulted in his favor, 11 with a loss, and one ended in a draw. With zero no-contests against his name, Juarez remained a highly competitive boxer who gave a tough fight to his opponents in every match he fought.
Juarez started his boxing career on January 13, 2001, against Pascali Adorno at the age of 20. In his debut, he managed to defeat Adorno via a four-round unanimous decision, and during his career, he managed to win 22 consecutive fights in a row - out of which 16 were through stoppage. Juarez, in his prime, was highly competitive and intimidating to his opponents, which resulted in significant success in the early stages of his career.
His first opportunity to fight for a world title came at the age of 26 in 2006. In his 26th professional bout, he fought against Marco Antonio Barrera for the WBC title. Juarez lost the fight in a highly competitive affair that lasted twelve rounds. It remains the prized highlight of Juarez's career as he never managed to capture a world title in his career.
Despite never winning a world title, Juarez had notable wins against fighters like Emmanuel Lucero and Rene Alvarado. Juarez suffered a total of eleven losses in his career, four of which were in title bouts and seven in non-title bouts. His first loss was against Humberto Soto on August 20, 2005, which ended his 23-fight win streak. However, Juarez managed to continue his career without being stopped even once in all his defeats, which speaks volumes about his durability and resilience.
Juarez's last professional fight was a non-title bout against Robinson Castellanos, which occurred on January 26, 2015. The fight ended in a unanimous decision in favor of Castellanos, following which Juarez chose to retire, marking the end of his professional boxing career.
Rocky Juarez's record might not scream of being the most dominant fighter in the ring; however, his fans remember his competitive spirit and his ferocity as a boxer. Although he never won a world title, he always provided thrilling boxing matchups and entertained fans with his skillful fighting style.
Juarez has been retired for over 8 years now, but his fans still admire him for his contribution to the sport of boxing. His record might not seem as impressive as some of his contemporaries, but his skill and dedication made him a respectable boxer amongst his peers.
Rocky Juarez might be remembered as an underachiever in some people's eyes, but his ability to remain competitive throughout his career speaks of his character and skills. He managed to remain relevant in the sport for an extended period and gave some memorable boxing matches to his fans to cherish for years to come.
