Carlos Takam is a professional heavyweight boxer, born on December 6, 1980, in Douala, Cameroon. Takam made his professional debut on December 10, 2005, against Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf, at the age of 25, winning the fight via a 6 round PTS. During his debut year, Takam won four times, two of which were knockout victories.
By the end of 2006, Takam had accumulated a record of 6-0 with five knockout wins. During his 17-fight winning streak, Takam fought some notable boxers such as Michael Sprott and Michael Grant. He eventually established himself as one of the toughest heavyweight boxers in the world.
