Daniel Jacobs, nicknamed the "Miracle Man," was born on February 3, 1987, in Brooklyn, New York City. He started his professional boxing career on December 8, 2007, at the age of 20, and defeated Jose Jesus Hurtado via 1st round TKO. Jacobs won his next 19 fights, including 16 wins via stoppage.

On July 31, 2010, Jacobs had his first world title fight against Dmitry Pirog for the WBO (vacant) middleweight title but lost the fight through a 5th round KO. Despite suffering this loss, Jacobs won two world titles at middleweight, the WBA (Regular) title from 2014 to 2017 and the IBF title from 2018 to 2019.

Jacobs has had a total of 41 fights in his professional boxing career to date, winning 37, including 30 via KO, and losing four, with one loss via knockout. He has never drawn or had a no-contest. Jacobs has fought in two weight classes, middleweight, and super middleweight.

Jacobs stands at 6 feet tall and has a reach of 73+1⁄2 inches. He fights in an Orthodox stance and is known for his exceptional punching power, with an 82.8% knockout-to-win ratio. He is an all-around fighter, with good movement and hand speed.

Jacobs' career was almost cut short in 2011 when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. He spent 19 months out of the sport recovering from severe injuries caused by the operation. However, he made a successful return to professional boxing on October 20, 2012, after fully recovering from cancer.

In his most recent fight on February 12, 2022, Jacobs fought British boxer John Ryder in a non-title bout and lost via 12 round split-decision. The fight marked Jacobs' first defeat via a decision in his career.

Jacobs has had some great performances in his professional boxing career so far. Some of his best fights and notable victories include wins over Peter Quillin, Julio César Chávez Jr., Sergio Mora, Milton Nuñez, Caleb Truax, and Luis Arias.

On August 9, 2014, Jacobs won the vacant WBA (Regular) middleweight title with a 5th-round TKO over Jarrod Fletcher at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then successfully defended the title against Caleb Truax on April 24, 2015, winning the fight via 12th round TKO, and Sergio Mora on August 1, 2015, winning the fight via 2nd round TKO.

On December 5, 2015, Jacobs successfully defended the WBA (Regular) middleweight title against Peter Quillin, winning the fight via 1st round TKO. In September 2016, he rematched Sergio Mora and scored two flash knockdowns in rounds 4 and 5 before getting a dominant TKO win.

Jacobs then went on to lose to Gennady Golovkin via 12 round unanimous decision on March 18, 2017, while fighting for the WBA (Super) and WBC middleweight titles. Later, he beat Luis Arias via 12 round unanimous decision on November 11, 2017, but lost to Canelo Álvarez via 12 round unanimous decision on May 4, 2019, while fighting for the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring middleweight titles.

Jacobs' most recent world-title win was against Julio César Chávez Jr. on December 20, 2019, winning the fight via 5th round RTD.

As of September 2021, Jacobs is ranked as the world's eighth-best active super middleweight by The Ring magazine, sixth by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and third by BoxRec.

In conclusion, Daniel Jacobs has had a successful professional boxing career so far, with a record of 37 wins and 4 losses. He has won two world titles at middleweight and is known for his exceptional punching power and all-around fighting skills. Though his most recent fight was a loss, he is sure to make a remarkable comeback and remain a top-ranked super middleweight in the coming years.
