Maccarinelli began his professional career in 1999, defeating Paul Bonson via 4 round PTS in his debut fight. He went on to win 2 more consecutive fights after the debut, which included two wins via stoppage. Maccarinelli's professional career witnessed a total of 49 fights, with 41 victories, 8 losses, and zero draws or no-contests.

Maccarinelli was a fearsome puncher, with 33 of his 41 victories coming via knockout. He managed to maintain an impressive KO percentage throughout his career, reflecting his power punching ability.

Furthermore, Maccarinelli held the WBO cruiserweight title for a while. He won his first world-title fight on October 14, 2006, against Mark Hobson and successfully defended the title against Bobby Gunn, Wayne Braithwaite, and Mohamed Azzaoui. Maccarinelli's retirement from professional boxing came on June 10, 2016, in a non-title bout against Ukrainian boxer Dmytro Kucher. He lost the fight via 1st round TKO, marking an end to his career as an active boxer.

In conclusion, Enzo Maccarinelli was a formidable boxer who managed to achieve great heights in his career.
