Gerald Washington is a professional American boxer who was born on April 23, 1982, in San Jose, California. He stands at an impressive height of 6 ft 6 in (198 cm) with a reach of 82 in (208 cm) and a weight class of heavyweight. He is also known by his nickname, El Gallo Negro (The Black Rooster), a moniker that has become synonymous with his boxing prowess.
Washington had his professional debut on July 28, 2012, at the age of 30 against Blue DeLong, defeating him via 1st round TKO. He went on to record 15 consecutive victories, including ten knockouts, before his first professional loss came in 2017 against Deontay Wilder.
