Jake LaMotta is a name synonymous with excellence in the world of boxing. With more than two decades of experience in the sport, LaMotta has a record of 83-19-4. He is a former middleweight boxing world champion and was known for his ferocity in the ring.

LaMotta's professional career spanned from 1941 to 1954, where he fought a total of 106 times. His debut was against Charley Mackley, and he won via 4 round PTS at the age of 18. He went on to win 12 more consecutive fights after his debut, with three wins by stoppage.

In his storied career, LaMotta won a total of three world titles. One of his best fights came on June 16, 1949, when he defeated Marcel Cerdan via 9th round RTD to become the new NBA and The Ring Middleweight world champion. Apart from this, LaMotta had wins over four Hall-of-Famers (Marcel Cerdan, Holman Williams, Fritzie Zivic, and Sugar Ray Robinson), Laurent Dauthuille, Chuck Hunter, Dick Wagner, George Costner, Tiberio Mitri, and Bob Satterfield.

However, LaMotta also faced losses in his career. He had a total of 19 losses, 15 of them via the decision and four KO losses. Jimmy Reeves handed him his first loss via 10 round split-decision on September 24, 1941, ending his 14-fight win record.

Looking into some of the highlight fights of LaMotta's career, the first that stands out is against Sugar Ray Robinson. This fight took place on February 5, 1943, and LaMotta put on a remarkable performance. Their initial fight had Robinson win on points, however, in their next fight, LaMotta defeated Robinson by unanimous decision in a 10-round bout.

Next highlight of LaMotta's career came on June 16, 1949. This fight saw him win his first world titles after defeating Marcel Cerdan via 9th round RTD. The world middleweight title gave the boxing world a Chuck Wepner/Sylvester Stallone Rocky narrative almost 70 years earlier.

LaMotta had a total of 83 wins, with 30 of them being KO wins. He also had four draws, zero no-contests, and a title defense record of two. His title-fight KO wins stand at two.

LaMotta's last professional fight was against Billy Kilgore on April 14, 1954. He lost the bout via 10 round split-decision at 31 years of age, ending one of the most memorable boxing careers in history.

All of Jake LaMotta's career stats stand testament to his abilities in the ring, with 83 wins, he is undoubtedly one of boxing's all-time greats. Not only this, but his victories against Marcel Cerdan and Sugar Ray Robinson remain some of the most anticipated moments in boxing history.
