Joe Louis, an American former professional boxer, is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time. He had an illustrious career spanning over 17 years, from 1934 to 1951. During this time, Louis had 69 fights, won 66, lost 3, and had no draws or no-contests. Fifty-two of his wins came via knockout. Jacob Louis Barrow, famously known as Joe Louis, was born in Alabama in 1914. He made his professional debut at the age of 20, defeating Jack Kracken via 1st round KO. Joe Louis went on to become one of the dominant boxers of his era, winning his first 23 fights consecutively. He received his first world title shot in 1937, where he defeated James J. Braddock via 8th round KO to become the heavyweight world champion.
