Johann Duhaupas, a French professional boxer with over 20 years of experience, has a record of 39 wins and 7 losses, including 26 knockout wins. Although he has never won a world title, he has been in the ring with some of the best boxers in the world.
Duhaupas made his pro debut in 2004, defeating Stephane Poulade by third-round knockout. He then went on to win 16 consecutive fights, with nine of them ending by stoppage. Duhaupas faced his first world title fight at the age of 34, against Deontay Wilder for the WBC title. Though he put up a valiant effort, he lost to Wilder via 11th round TKO.
Johann Duhaupas' career has had its ups and downs, but he is known for his never-give-up attitude inside the ring. His most notable victories include wins over Andras Csomor, Luis Pascual, David Gogishvili, Evgeny Orlov, and Robert Helenius. Unfortunately, he has also suffered some brutal losses, including four knockout defeats.
His first loss came against Francesco Pianeta via 12 round unanimous decision on December 20, 2008, ending his 17-fight win streak. He suffered his first knockout loss at the hands of Alexander Povetkin, which was his first world title fight, in the 6th round of their 2016 bout. His other knockout losses include Deontay Wilder in 2015 and Jarrell Miller in 2018.
Duhaupas' most recent fight was against Zhan Kossobutskiy on May 21st, 2022. Unfortunately, he lost the fight via 5th round RTD. This marked Duhaupas' sixth loss in a non-title bout. Although he is currently on a one-fight losing streak, he remains optimistic about his future in boxing.
