Kenshiro Teraji, a Japanese professional boxer, has made a name for himself in the world of boxing. With over seven years of experience in the sport, Teraji has an impressive track record. Let's take a closer look at his boxing career, from his professional debut in 2014 to his most recent fights.
Teraji began his professional boxing career on August 3, 2014, when he fought Heri Amol in a six-round match. Despite being a newcomer, Teraji showed his skills as he defeated Amol via unanimous decision. Teraji then went on to win 17 more consecutive fights, ten of which were won via stoppage.
At the age of 25, Teraji had his first world title fight against Ganigan López for the light-flyweight WBC title. Teraji won the fight via 12 round majority decision, becoming the light-flyweight champion of the world. This was just the beginning of a series of world title wins and defenses.
Teraji has won a total of four world titles at light-flyweight and is a one-time unified light-flyweight world champion. He has defended his titles nine times, with seven of those defenses resulting in knockout wins. Some of Teraji's notable victories include wins over Hiroto Kyoguchi, Masamichi Yabuki, Randy Petalcorin, Jonathan Taconing, Pedro Guevara, and Milan Melindo.

But Teraji did not let his loss bring him down. In his most recent fight, which took place on November 1, 2022, Teraji faced fellow Japanese boxer Hiroto Kyoguchi in a light-flyweight title unification bout. Teraji won the fight via 7th round TKO, defending his WBC title and winning the WBA (Super) and The Ring titles, becoming a unified light-flyweight world champion.
Teraji's professional boxing record currently stands at 20-1, which includes 12 knockout wins and one loss via knockout, and four title wins. He is on a two-fight winning streak and is scheduled to fight Anthony Olascuaga on April 8, 2023.
