Kevin Kelley is a retired American professional boxer who was born on June 29, 1967. During his boxing career, which spanned over 20 years from 1988 to 2009, he fought in 72 matches.
In his first professional boxing match on September 8, 1988, Kevin Kelley won by defeating Willie Barnes via a 2nd round TKO. He went on to win his next 40 fights, 28 of which were won via stoppage. With his exceptional performance, he earned his first world title fight at the age of 26 against Gregorio Vargas.
In his World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight title fight against Gregorio Vargas on December 4, 1993, Kevin Kelley emerged victorious via a 12-round unanimous decision making him the featherweight Champion of the World. He had won his first world title.
After his first title win, Kelley successfully defended his featherweight title against Jose Vida Ramos in a fight on September 24, 1994. Kevin Kelley won this fight via 2nd round TKO.
