Krzysztof Włodarczyk, also known as Diablo ("Devil"), is a professional boxer from Poland. He was born on September 19, 1981, in Warsaw, in the Polish People's Republic. Włodarczyk has been boxing professionally for over 20 years now, and throughout his career, he has amassed an impressive record of 60 wins, four losses, one draw, and 40 knockout wins.

He made his pro debut at the age of 18 on June 10, 2000, against Andrei Georgiev, whom he defeated via second-round KO. He then went on to win 19 consecutive fights, including 15 by stoppage. Włodarczyk is currently on a seven-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming against Argentinian Maximiliano Gomez on November 6th, 2021, via fourth-round TKO.

Early Career

Włodarczyk began his career fighting in Poland and held several regional titles before making his way onto the world stage. He won the IBF Inter-Continental cruiserweight title during 2001-2002, the Polish International cruiserweight title during 2002-2004, the WBC Youth cruiserweight title during 2003-2004, the World Boxing Foundation cruiserweight title in 2004, the European Union cruiserweight title in 2005, the International Boxing Council cruiserweight title during 2006-2007, the WBC FECARBOX cruiserweight title in 2006, and the IBF cruiserweight title during 2006-2007.

Włodarczyk had his first world title fight on March 25, 2006, against Imamu Mayfield for the cruiserweight WBC (vacant) title. He defeated Mayfield via a 12-round unanimous decision to become the cruiserweight champion of the world.

Championship Reigns

Włodarczyk has won three world titles at cruiserweight. He first won the IBF title on November 25, 2006, with a split decision over Steve Cunningham (19-0, 11KOs) but lost in a rematch on May 26, 2007.

In May 16, 2009 for the WBC cruiserweight title, Włodarczyk had a fight which went down in history. He fought Giacobbe Fragomeni (26-1, 10KOs) and knocked down his opponent during round 9, but the fight ended in a draw. A rematch was held on May 15, 2010, at the Atlas Arena in Łódź, Poland, which Włodarczyk won by TKO in round 8.

Włodarczyk then went on to successfully defend his title against unsung Jason Robinson in September 2010. In November 2011, he successfully defended his title against Australian Danny Green (31-4, 27KOs) by TKO in the eleventh round at Challenge Stadium in Western Australia. He also beat undefeated Puerto Rican Francisco Palacios by UD and by SD in 2011/2012.

In 2013, Włodarczyk fought and upset undefeated Russian Olympic champion Rakhim Chakhkiev (16-0, 12KOs) after coming off the deck to win by KO in Moscow for his arguably biggest win. On December 6, 2013, Włodarczyk made his sixth successful title defense when he fought Giacobbe Fragomeni a third time at UIC Pavilion in Chicago.

Wlodarczyk lost his WBC cruiserweight title on September 27, 2014, to Grigory Drozd (38-1, 27KOs). At the Krylatskoe Sport Palace in Moscow, the judges scored the bout 118:109, 119:108, 119:108, all in favor of Drozd.

Włodarczyk is an orthodox fighter with a strong and powerful style. He stands tall at 1.86m (6 ft. 1 in) and has a reach of 191 cm (75 in). He possesses tremendous punching power, with 40 of his 60 wins coming via knockout. Moreover, he has a solid chin, as he has been stopped only once in his career.
