Miriam Gutiérrez Parra is a Spanish professional boxer born on February 21st, 1983, in Madrid. She is 5ft 7.5in (171cm) and competes in the Lightweight weight class. With a professional record of 14 wins, 2 losses, and 0 draws as well as no-contests, Gutiérrez has made a name for herself in the boxing world.

Gutiérrez made her debut on March 31st, 2017, against Vanesa Caballero, gaining a unanimous decision win after five rounds at the Casino Gran Madrid in Torrelodones, Spain. Gutiérrez then went on to enjoy 12 more consecutive victories, five of which were stoppages.

Gutiérrez would have her first world title fight on November 14th, 2020, against Katie Taylor, for the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles.

Unfortunately for Gutiérrez, she was defeated by Taylor via a 10 round unanimous decision, marking the first loss of her professional career.

Despite this loss, Gutiérrez has had notable victories in her professional boxing career, including wins against Aleksandra Ivanovic, Bianka Majlath, Kamila Boka, Ksenija Medic, Valentina Stankovic, Mirabela Calugareanu, and Keren Batiz.

It is important to note that while Gutiérrez has suffered two losses in her professional boxing career thus far, which both came via decision, she has never been stopped in a match.

Gutiérrez's most recent fight was a non-title bout against Puerto Rican boxer Amanda Serrano on December 18th, 2021. Gutierrez lost the fight via 10 round unanimous decision. As of today, Gutierrez is on a one-fight losing streak and holds a professional boxing record of 14-2, with six knockout wins to her name.

In September 2020, she was ranked as the world's fifth-best active female lightweight by The Ring, cementing her place as one of the brightest prospects in the sport.

Gutiérrez's passion for boxing began later than most, making her professional debut aged 34, after working in administration for Madrid City Council. Despite this, Gutiérrez has proven to be an excellent athlete throughout her career - demonstrating fantastic footwork, good head movement, efficient jabbing, and capable body shots.

When describing her boxing technique, Gutiérrez has said, "I am a boxer who likes to move, hit, and not get hit". This statement rings true in her fighting style, as she is primarily a counterpuncher, relying on her opponent to make the first move, then striking back.

While Gutiérrez has yet to win a world title, her interim WBA belt proves that she is among the best boxers in her weight class globally. Her fans are confident that she will continue to develop her skills and bring title belts home to Spain in the future.

Miriam Gutiérrez's career is proof that age is just a number when it comes to professional sports. With hard work, dedication, and an undeniable talent, she has carved out a path for herself amongst some of the best boxers in the world.
