Paul Hodkinson was a professional boxer with an impressive record of 22 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, and 21 knockout wins. His career lasted for more than seven years, from 1986 to 1994. He had a remarkable start to his career, winning his first seven consecutive fights, all via stoppage, after making his professional debut at the age of 20 against Mark Champney on July 19, 1986.

Hodkinson had his first world-title fight at the age of 24 on June 2, 1990, against Marcos Villasana for the WBC featherweight title. Unfortunately, he lost the fight via 8th round TKO which was one of the three losses he faced in his career. However, he fought back and won his first world featherweight title against Marcos Villasana on November 13, 1991, with a 12 round unanimous decision.

He had impressive defensive tactics and was known to maintain a perfect balance of offense and defense in his fights. Hodkinson was an aggressive fighter who never shied away from taking risks in the ring. This confidence in his abilities was evident in his seamless transitions from defense to attack which caught several opponents off guard.

His exceptional fighting skills were on display in April 25, 1992, when he successfully defended the WBC featherweight title against Steve Cruz, winning via a third-round TKO. Hodkinson's powerful punch combinations and aggressive offensive tactics had overwhelmed Cruz, forcing the referee to stop the fight.

On February 3, 1993, Hodkinson successfully defended the WBC featherweight title against Ricardo Cepeda, winning the fight via a fourth-round TKO. He showcased his exceptional stamina and ring generalship in the fight, exerting pressure on Cepeda and forcing him to make defensive mistakes that led to his eventual defeat.

Hodkinson's career took a downhill turn after his successful title defenses, with his last professional fight being on March 12, 1994 against Steve Robinson for Robinson's featherweight WBO title. Unfortunately, Hodkinson lost the fight in the 12th round via KO, leading to his retirement from professional boxing.

Paul Hodkinson's professional boxing career spanned over seven years, ending with a record of 22 wins, three losses, one draw, and 21 knockout wins. He was an aggressive fighter who was not afraid to take risks in the ring, and his exceptional offensive and defensive skills left his opponents struggling to keep up.

Although he faced three losses in his career, all of them coming via stoppage, he still managed to win his one-and-only world featherweight title and successfully defend it in three title fights, winning all via TKOs. His incredible journey as a professional boxer is a testament to his unrelenting spirit, hard work, and dedication to the sport.
