Sergey Alekseyevich Lipinets is a professional Russian boxer born on March 23, 1989, in Martuk, Kazakh SSR, Soviet Union (now Kazakhstan). He is a former kickboxer who became a professional boxer at the age of 25 when he debuted against Franklin Varela on April 25, 2014. Lipinets boasts a boxing record of 20 fights, 17 wins, 13 of which were KO wins, two losses, one draw, and no no-contests.
Lipinets' impressive boxing career includes notable victories over some of the best boxers in the world, such as Lamont Peterson, Omar Figueroa Jr., Leonardo Zappavigna, Cosme Rivera, Erick Bone, Jayar Inson, and Kendal Mena. He won his first world title at age 28 on November 4, 2017, when he defeated Akihiro Kondo to become the super-lightweight champion of the world. His victory over Kondo was by unanimous decision.
