Teófimo López is a talented boxer with a professional record of 18-1-0-0, including 13 KO wins. He is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, with an impressive resume of wins against elite competition. López has won four world titles at lightweight and is a one-time unified lightweight world champion.

López made his professional debut against Ishwar Siqueiros on November 5, 2016, at the age of 19. He won the fight in the second round via knockout, setting the tone for the rest of his career. López then went on to win 15 consecutive fights, including 11 via stoppage.

At the age of 22, after 14 professional fights, López had his first world title fight against Richard Commey for the lightweight IBF title. It only took López two rounds to defeat Commey via TKO, making him the lightweight champion of the world. This was a significant accomplishment for López, as he had become the youngest lightweight world champion since 1992.

López is known for his notable victories over elite fighters such as Vasiliy Lomachenko, Richard Commey, Masayoshi Nakatani, Sandor Martin, Pedro Campa, Mason Menard, and Edis Tatli. However, his most significant victory to date came on October 17, 2020, when he beat Lomachenko to become a unified lightweight world champion. López won the fight via a 12 round unanimous decision and secured the IBF, WBA (Super), WBO, and The Ring lightweight world-champion belts.

Following his career-defining victory over Lomachenko, López struggled with his weight, which resulted in a lackluster performance against Masayoshi Nakatani in July 2021. López still managed to win the fight, but it went the full 12 rounds, and he barely won via unanimous decision. López then faced George Kambosos Jr. on November 27, 2021, in a fight that ended his 16-fight win streak. López lost via 12 round split-decision, and Kambosos Jr. became the only boxer to beat López in his professional career.

López's most recent fight was against Spanish boxer Sandor Martin on December 10, 2022. The fight was a non-title bout, and López won via a 10 round split-decision.

Looking forward, López is next scheduled to fight Josh Taylor on June 10, 2023. This will be a highly anticipated fight between two of the best boxers in the world. López will be looking to bounce back from his loss to Kambosos Jr. and prove that he is still one of the best fighters in the world.

In summary, Teófimo López is a talented boxer with an impressive professional record. He has won four world titles at lightweight and is a one-time unified lightweight world champion. López has defeated elite fighters and has become one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Although he suffered a loss to George Kambosos Jr. in 2021, López is still considered one of the best fighters in the world and will be looking to prove his worth in his upcoming fight against Josh Taylor.
