For decades, Vitor Belfort has been a dominant force in mixed martial arts. Born on April 1, 1977, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Belfort began his career in MMA at just 19 years old, eventually fighting for some of the biggest promotions in the world, including the UFC, Pride FC, Strikeforce, Affliction, and Cage Rage.

During his illustrious career, Belfort competed in the Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, and Middleweight divisions, holding titles in both the UFC and Cage Rage. Known for his explosive knockout power, Belfort is tied for third for the most finishes in UFC history with 14. He also holds the record for the most first-round finishes in UFC history with 13.

Over the course of his 41 fights, Belfort has achieved an impressive record of 26 wins, 14 losses, and one no-contest. Of those 26 wins, 18 have come by knockout, and three by submission. Belfort has also won two professional boxing matches by knockout, showing his prowess across multiple fighting disciplines.

Despite his impressive record, Belfort has faced his fair share of adversity throughout his life. In January 2004, his sister, Priscila, disappeared without a trace, and Belfort and his family received no information about her whereabouts. In August 2007, a woman named Elaine Paiva confessed that she was involved in Priscila's kidnapping and killing, and that she was kidnapped to pay off a debt Paiva had with drug dealers. While Priscila's remains have never been found, Belfort has maintained a missing page on his website in honor of his sister.

Belfort's success in MMA can be attributed to his unwavering faith in God and his commitment to staying happy and healthy. A devout Christian, Belfort believes that the key to success in any area of life is to be happy with what's in front of you and to trust in God's plan for your life. He has spoken publicly about his faith and even appeared in a testimonial video on I Am Second, where he shared his story of faith in Jesus Christ.

Throughout his career, Belfort has received numerous accolades and awards, including the UFC 12 Heavyweight Tournament Championship, the Cage Rage World Light Heavyweight Championship, and the 2013 World MMA Award for Knockout of the Year for his fight against Luke Rockhold at UFC on FX: Belfort vs. Rockhold.

Looking back on his career, Belfort has said that he is proud of everything he has accomplished, but that he is most grateful for the opportunities that fighting has given him. His love for the sport is evident in everything he does, and even now, at 45 years old, he remains one of the most talented and respected fighters in the world.

When he's not training or fighting, Belfort can be found spending time with his wife, Joana Prado, and their three children. The couple began dating in 2000, and after breaking up, they reunited during a reality show in 2002. They have been together ever since, and their love for each other is evident in everything they do.

As Belfort continues to make his mark in the MMA world, there's no telling what the future holds for this unstoppable fighter. But one thing's for sure - he will continue to inspire and amaze fans around the world with his incredible talent and unwavering spirit.
