Luis Collazo is a former American professional boxer who held the WBA welterweight title from 2005 to 2006. He was born on April 22, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York City. Collazo is of Puerto Rican descent and had a professional boxing career spanning over 19 years from 2000 to 2019.
Collazo had a total of 47 fights, winning 39 and losing 8. He had no draws or no contests over his career. Out of his 39 wins, 20 were won via KO. Collazo won one world title at welterweight, with one successful title defense. He is also known by his fighting nickname, "God's Way".
Collazo made his professional boxing debut against Jose Maldonado at the age of 19 on May 17, 2000. He won the fight via first-round TKO. After his debut fight, he won 13 more consecutive fights, six of which were won via stoppage.
