Ryosuke Iwasa is a Japanese professional boxer who has been active in the sport for over a decade. With 31 fights on his record, Iwasa has won an impressive 27 of them, losing only 4 times. He has never drawn a fight nor had any No-Contests throughout his career. Out of his 27 victories, 17 have come by way of knockout, which demonstrates his powerful punching ability.
The 31-year-old fighter made his professional debut in 2008 when he was just 18 years old. He won the fight against Shinya Takahashi via 5th round TKO, and it was the beginning of an exciting career for him. Following his debut, Iwasa went on to win 7 consecutive fights, with 5 of those coming by way of stoppage.
After 25 professional fights, Iwasa had his first world title fight in September 2017. He was up against Yukinori Oguni for the super-bantamweight IBF title. The young boxer clinched the title with a 6th round TKO, making history and solidifying his position as the super-bantamweight champion of the world.
Since then, Ryosuke Iwasa has fought several other skilled boxers, including notable victories over the likes of Marlon Tapales, Yuki Murai, Ernesto Saulong, Hiroki Shiino, Rommy Wassar, and Ricardo Roa. These victories have helped Iwasa build his name and reputation as an excellent boxer.
However, Iwasa has also had his share of losses throughout his career. Of his 4 losses, 2 were in title fights, and the other 2 were in non-title bouts. He suffered his first loss at the hands of Shinsuke Yamanaka via 10th round TKO in March 2011. Iwasa has been stopped three times and lost once via decision, which has likely helped him understand his weaknesses and work harder towards improving them.
One of Iwasa's more recent fights was against Murodjon Akhmadaliev for Akhmadaliev's super-bantamweight WBA (Super) and IBF titles. The fight took place on April 3, 2021, and sadly Iwasa lost the fight via 5th round TKO. This loss ended his one-fight winning streak, and it has been almost two years since he last stepped into the ring.
Ryosuke Iwasa's professional boxing record is currently at 27-4, which includes 17 knockout wins and three losses via knockout, and one title win. Iwasa is known for his powerful punches and swift footwork, which have contributed significantly to his success in the sport. In every fight, he brings his best to the table, showcasing his grit and determination to win.
In conclusion, Ryosuke Iwasa is a talented and successful super-bantamweight boxer with an impressive career record. He has come a long way since his professional debut, and with his determination and hard work, it is likely that he will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of boxing. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for this talented young fighter.
