At just 17 years old, Ryan Garcia made his professional boxing debut against Edgar Meza and took home a 1st round TKO win. Since then, he has gone on to amass a record of 23 wins and 0 losses, with 19 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
Garcia's career highlights include four notable victories. In November of 2019, he defeated Romero Duno via 1st round KO, putting on an electrifying performance. In 2020, he beat Francisco Fonseca in just 1 round, showing off his impressive power yet again. In January of 2021, he won via 7th round TKO against a tough opponent in Luke Campbell. Most recently, on April 9th, 2022, Garcia defeated Emmanuel Tagoe via a 12th round unanimous decision.
Garcia's next challenge will be his biggest one yet, as he is set to face off against Gervonta Davis on April 22, 2023. If Garcia is able to come out victorious, he would solidify himself as one of the top boxers in the world.
Despite his impressive record, Garcia still has much to prove in terms of winning titles and title defenses. Thus far, he has yet to win a single major title, but there is no doubt that he'll be eyeing the opportunity to do so soon.
One of the things that Ryan Garcia is most known for in the boxing world is his impressive power. With 19 knockout wins, it's clear that his punches pack a serious punch. However, he's far from a one-trick pony. Garcia is also known for his speed and agility, making him a formidable opponent for any fighter in the ring.
Despite his power and speed, Garcia is not invincible. No fighter is. However, Garcia has yet to be knocked out in any of his fights so far. He is able to take a hit and keep fighting, which is a testament to his toughness and determination.
Another factor that has contributed to Garcia's success is his impressive team. His coach, Eddy Reynoso, is perhaps best known for his work with Canelo Alvarez. Working with Reynoso seems to have paid dividends for Garcia - he's been able to develop and refine his skills as a boxer and become a more well-rounded fighter.
Perhaps the only knock against Ryan Garcia's career thus far is the fact that he has yet to fight any true legends of the sport. However, this is something that could potentially change given the opportunity to fight other top boxers in his weight class.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Ryan Garcia. With a record of 23-0 and a fight against Gervonta Davis on the horizon, the sky is truly the limit for this young boxer. Whether or not he'll be able to win major titles and defend them successfully remains to be seen, but one thing is clear - Ryan Garcia is a force to be reckoned with in the boxing world.
