Over the course of his career, he had a total of 40 fights, of which he won 34 and lost 5, with 1 draw. Sylvester started his boxing career in 2002 when he fought against Yuri Zaytsev at the young age of 21 years old. Unfortunately, he lost his debut fight, but then went on to win his next 21 fights in a row, which included 9 wins via stoppage. Sylvester had his first world title fight in 2004, when he was just 24 years old. After 14 professional fights, he fought against Dirk Dzemski for the middleweight NBA title, and won via 7th round TKO to become the middleweight champion of the world. He went on to win one more world title at middleweight, with a total of 2 title wins and 2 title defenses. Some of Sylvester's best fights and notable victories include wins over Petr Rykala, Clive Johnson, Dirk Dzemski, Billy Lyell, Amin Asikainen, Javier Castillejo, and Mahir Oral. However, Sylvester had a total of five losses during his professional boxing career, with two of them in title bouts and three in non-title bouts. His first loss was against Yuri Zaytsev in his professional debut, where he lost via 1st round KO. Of the five losses he had, he suffered three of them via KO. Sylvester retired from professional boxing in 2011 with a record of 34-5-1, which included 16 knockout wins and three losses via KO, and one title win. His last professional fight was against Polish boxer Grzegorz Proksa in 2011, which he lost via 3rd round RTD. One of Sylvester's career highlights was winning his first world title by defeating Dirk Dzemski via 7th round TKO in 2004. He went on to defend his title successfully against various opponents, including Amin Asikainen and Javier Castillejo, in 2007 and 2008 respectively. In 2008, Felix Sturm retained the WBA middleweight title against Sylvester via unanimous decision, which marked Sylvester's second loss in his professional career. However, in 2009, Sylvester won the vacant IBF middleweight title by beating Giovanni Lorenzo through a split decision. After winning the title, he successfully defended it against various contenders, including Mahir Oral and Billy Lyell, in 2010. In 2011, Sylvester lost his IBF middleweight title to Daniel Geale via a split decision, during his second title defense. Later that year, he lost to Grzegorz Proksa in a non-title bout, which marked the end of his professional boxing career. Throughout his professional boxing career, Sebastian Sylvester proved himself to be a formidable opponent, with a solid record and an impressive list of victories. Despite his losses, he remained committed to the sport and his fans, making him a legendary figure in the world of boxing.
