Dierry Jean, a former professional boxer from Canada, had a fruitful career in boxing that spanned over nine years. Jean made his professional debut on December 16, 2006, at the age of 24 against Stephane Fleury and won via unanimous decision.

After his debut, he went on an impressive streak of 24 straight wins, including 17 wins via stoppage, making a name for himself in the boxing scene.

On January 25, 2014, after 25 professional fights, Jean got his first world title shot against Lamont Peterson for the IBF title. Unfortunately, Jean lost to Peterson via a 12-round unanimous decision, suffering his first professional loss and ending his remarkable win streak.

Throughout his career, Jean had a total of 32 professional fights, recording 29 wins, two losses, and one draw. Twenty of his wins came via knockout, showcasing his power in the ring.

While Jean was an impressive fighter, he never won a world title nor had any title defenses. However, he had some notable victories over Carlos Manuel Reyes, Cleotis Pendarvis, Ivan Cano, Ryan Barrett, Wilfredo Negrón, Jerry Belmontes, and Lanardo Tyner.

It's also worth noting that both of Jean's losses came in title bouts, one against Peterson and the other against Terence Crawford, who defeated Jean via TKO in the 10th round.

In 2016, Jean fought his last professional bout against Ricky Sismundo on May 13, which ended in an 8-round split-decision draw. The fight marked the end of Jean's impressive career.

Dierry Jean may not have had the opportunity to hold a world title, but his record of 29-2-1, including 20 knockout wins, is remarkable. His record is a testament to the dedication and passion he had for boxing throughout his career.

As a boxing content writer for over 20 years, I can confidently say that Dierry Jean's professional boxing career is both impressive and inspiring. His record may not have all the accolades that fighters dream of, but it tells a story of hard work, determination, and passion for the sport of boxing.
