Reynante Jamili, also known as Pinoy Fist, is a retired Filipino professional boxer who has been in the ring for more than eight years, from 1992 to 2000. He has a total of 51 fights, with 43 wins and eight losses, and zero draws and no-contests. Out of his 43 wins, 33 are knockout victories.
Jamili, who was born on December 21, 1972, in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, has fought in two weight classes throughout his career, Featherweight, and Super Bantamweight. He stands at 5'7 tall and has a reach of 68 inches. He is an orthodox fighter and has never won a World Championship title throughout his career.
Jamili made his professional boxing debut against Larry Maala on May 8, 1992, at the young age of 19 years old. He won after the first round via a technical knockout. After his debut, Jamili won nine more consecutive fights with five of them, including his debut, ending with a stoppage.
Some of Jamili's notable victories include wins over Reynante Sasi, Frangky Mamuaya, Jung Kyng Soo, Jin Hyung Yuh, Kris Wuritimur, Hidetoshi Tanaka, and Jun Aguilan. Unfortunately, Jamili has also suffered eight losses throughout his career, all in non-title fights. He was first defeated by Chatchai Sasakul via a second-round knockout on July 16, 1993. Jamili has been stopped five times and lost three times via decision.
On July 1999, Jamili fought against Érik Morales, a WBC Super Bantamweight champion, for a shot at a World Championship title. However, it wasn't a victorious night for the Pinoy Fist, as he was knocked out by Morales during the entire fight. It was Jamili's only shot at a World Championship. After suffering a loss to Juan Manuel Márquez via knockout, he retired from professional boxing.
Jamili's last professional fight was on December 2, 2000, against Manabu Fukushima, a non-title bout that resulted in a second-round KO, with Fukushima winning the fight. He finished his career with a record of 43-8, with 33 knockout wins and five losses via knockout.
Jamili is known for his impressive knockout power, which has won him 33 of his 43 victories. Moreover, he's also known for being the former Philippines GAB and OPBF Super Bantamweight Champion.
Reynante Jamili may have retired from professional boxing more than 20 years ago, but his impressive record and knockout power are still remembered by many boxing enthusiasts. His contribution to Philippine boxing, although not as significant as others, is still noteworthy, and his legacy in the ring will always be remembered.
