Lamont Peterson was an American professional boxer who competed from 2004 to 2019. With a professional record of 35 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw, he held world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF light welterweight title between 2011 and 2015 and the WBA (Regular) welterweight title in 2017.
Peterson made his professional debut on September 25, 2004, at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, where he defeated Nicholas Dean via first-round TKO. Peterson's brother Anthony also made his debut on the same card, winning with a first-round knockout. Peterson went on to win 26 more consecutive fights, which included 12 wins via stoppage.
