Paulie Malignaggi is a former professional boxer with a career spanning over 15 years, starting in 2001 and ending in 2017. In his 44 fights, Malignaggi achieved a record of 36 wins, 8 losses, 0 draws, and 0 no-contests. Out of his 36 wins, he had 7 knockout victories. However, he suffered 5 losses via knockout.
The Italian-American boxer had his debut match on July 7, 2001, at the age of 20, where he emerged victorious in a 1st round technical knockout against Thadeus Parker. He went on to win his next 20 fights consecutively, four of which through stoppages.
Malignaggi had his first world-title fight against Miguel Cotto for the WBO title on June 10, 2006, at the age of 25. Unfortunately, he lost to Cotto via a 12 round unanimous decision, ending his 21-fight win streak. Despite the loss, Malignaggi never gave up and continued to strive for greatness.
